As a freelance social media coach, I can help you to improve your brand’s visibility across the major social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – giving you the power to use the tools at your fingertips efficiently and successfully.
I'm Alison Roberts. I learned my trade as a technical director within the broadcast media (news) industry and have brought those skills to the voluntary sector. I've worked with a local community newspaper since 1993, which launched its first website in 1996, making it the first community newspaper in the UK to have an online presence. I have had the advantage of being at the forefront of technology, enabling me to keep up with – and ahead of – the game.
I manage a network of local Facebook groups, with in excess of 10,000 members, and currently manage social media accounts for a number of community organisations in the East Finchley/Muswell Hill area of North London.
I focus on setting your pages and channels up correctly to maximise exposure, and assessing your target audience in order to tailor your channels to reach that audience. In the end, it doesn’t matter how amazing your content is, if it’s not being seen by the right people.
No, it doesn’t need to be. I offer tailored solutions, ranging from one-off crash courses to full account management, but the beauty of social media is that it’s free – and, with a little training, even the most technophobic amongst you can use it effectively.
